Funky Monkeys will open its 8th centre in Northern Ireland in Junction One Retail Park, Antrim on Saturday 16th June 2012 at 10am. It will open in the Business Retail Park between Asda and the Junction One Outlet Centre. The centre will be open 7 days a week 10am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 12pm to 6pm on Sunday. NEWFLASH: Funky Monkeys Ireland today 15 March 2012 completed the purchase of the European trademark for the Funky Monkeys Brand. Funky Monkeys Ireland is now looking for ambitious entrepreneurs for the UK and Republic of Ireland(ROI). Having just opened its 7th centre in Northern Ireland we now feel that the time is right to export the brand. Since developing the brand 4 years ago the system has been transformed into a very successful franchise model and we now intend to expand the model into the UK and ROI markets.

The Funky Monkeys franchise was shortlisted for 4 awards at the Irish Franchise Awards on Friday night past. They were shortlisted for Franchise of the Year(Retail), Best Irish Newcomer, Best Emerging Franchise(Retail) and Best Indigenous Irish Franchise.  On the night they were awarded with the BEST IRISH NEWCOMER 2012 - the  award was accepted by Mark and Alison Simpson who were both honoured to lift the award on behalf of the Funky Monkeys brand. The awards took place in The Concert Hall In the RDS in Dublin on Friday 27th April 2012.
